This little summary is only 38 (Kindle) pages, and that includes a brief author bio. It is adequate, I guess, but not very well written. I’m not sure the writer of this analysis actually read the full book—more like skimmed it just enough to summarize each chapter on a surface level.
I like the fact that this book brings to light the issues of subtle racism. It calls out white privledge and brings it to the forefront with different stories and examples. The book also gives advice on how to confront racism head-on. What I don't like about the book is the fact that it may be overlooked because it is too real.
This is a nice easy to read summary of Robin DiAngelo's work.

I am watching Robin Diangelo on Book TV talking about her book, addressed to us white progressives esp.who do and say the right things, and don't think we have a racist bone in our body. Watch this online at booktv.Then i dont have to even hint at getting this book, to see our huge blind spot, our shadow, behind us aswewalkin the sun. Author is informed, humorous and always is pointing the finger at herself first. If you, like me, find racismappalling, and in no way, shape or form, condoned by us consciously, or unconsciously, i'd challenge you to watch the interview, get the book, and then tell me, or the author, how wrong we are about ourselves. Not our fault, its complicated, right? No praise, no blame, we just dont have the full definition of racism. Check it out.
