I can’t believe we are on book three with more of the same story telling. I read book one and was okay with it because I thought hey there is going to be book two. After reading book two I was thouroghly pissed because it was depressing as hell. Then I buy book three (with $30 less in my pocket) thinking the outcome is going to be different or have some resolution only to be told wait for book four. I hope with her track record she don’t wind up killing Ethic because I won’t buy another book. So $40+ and if I’m not entertained because the author is dangling crap for more money, again, I will not buy another one of her books. This story was not that good. It was long and drawn out for what. By the way, who is Messiah?
I loveeeeeee Ashley but this book was just nothing but words. I wasted my money on this one! It’s the same as book 2 but way more wording that makes you wonder like when will she get to the point... Ethic is to miserable, everyone is to miserable. Ethic series need a new plot, more enemies, more happiness, and some babies. Maybe new characters is needed but it was boring. Hopefully the last book will be way better! Yes I will continue to support Ashley because she’s an amazing author I think this book was just pointless tho nothing happened that made you want to read another one.
This book was so dope but Ashley is slowly killing me!! I don’t want to wait until 2019 😩😩ðŸ˜ðŸ˜I love the fight in Ethic and Alani, they’re trying so hard to get to the other side of this turmoil. I was so emotional throughout this book; some chapters I cried all the way through SMDH 🤦ðŸ¾â€â™€ï¸ðŸ¤¦ðŸ¾â€â™€ï¸chapters 9 & 10 was especially hard for me. 😢 Can Ethic & Alani just be happy??? They have struggled so much it’s so painful to witness! My unhealthy attachment to All things Ethic, Alani, Bella, Easy, Morgan, Nannie, & Messiah are going to land me in the crazy house 🤪🤪. Ashley Antoinette did an amazing job as usual the words just leap from the pages it was so good I think I highlighted the entire book lol 😂This all consuming Morgan & Messiah thing is a whole other mess and I can’t wait to find out what he’s hiding.And as if this entire book wasn’t awesome enough Ms. Ashley Antoinette had the audacity to have a bomb ass playlist CTFU 🥰 I love it.
I didn’t like this book series at all. I’m still a reader of Ashley’s work however, it’s like now entering into her claimed beautiful and rare mind is more miserable than a blessing. It’s not a joy to read these alleged conveying emotions books. What happen to the more authentic storytelling? Ethic is not a man to be with and I think it’s sickening that many ladies want a piece of him. Alani is bipolar and there wasn’t really a story here honestly just stepped on recycled recurrences of another character like all the ladies in her solo projects. There was also to much back and forth and in the head talk. This entire story from book one to three was sick and disturbing. I wouldn’t necessarily say depressing. I feel like the author is trying to hard to make her writing fit in with today’s topics and it’s taking away from her authenticity. Also, you can’t put all Black Womens pain in the same box. I feel like this story was promoting oppression and kind of manipulative and deceptive in a way. I will still purchase part 4 but this story just makes me wonder if Ashley needs counseling in a way as is she crying out for help in her story’s. It’s just really disturbing. Mental health is not a joke and for example, Alani shooting Ethic isn’t something to laugh about. I feel like this book is promoting toxicity and never addressed the forgiveness factor but was drawn out on the fact that Alani couldn’t forgive Ethic. There was tell and no show in the story.
Ashley my God. I'm in real tears. I had to say a prayer for you after this book. A heartfelt prayer bc your soul was definitely on these pages. That ending. Had me boohooing. How are you this great?! How is this book this incredible? The passion felt while reading this book....I can't. Bravo. I've read just about about all your books (I'm missing a couple but I'll rectify that soon) and this is by far your best. Lord knows I love Love Burn but Ethic 3 left me with just a shell.
I finished 15 minutes ago and have been just staring at my phone in utter sadness because it is over! Ashley!!! WHY DO YOU KEEP DOING THIS TO US!!?? My emotions cannot take it! My husband is in here looking at me all crazy like someone physically did something to me because for the past 2 days I have cried and literally just started yelling "NOOOOO" seemingly out of no where. THEN this summary you gave about the series ending and not knowing how yet, has sent me into an emotional place that I didn't even know a book could reach. Like HOW SWAY!? And WHY does it have to end? We all love this series! We all love THEM! Let's just do like Keith Sweat says and "Make it last for forevuuuuuh". Come on book bestie, what do ya say? ðŸ˜
This series makes me love life even more than I already do. I see so many melanin households living through this novel. I've wanted more Ethic for years Ash is delivering a raw uncut love story to the world. These characters all can get a spin off .. welcome aria a true friend has arrived lololwhat's this secret messiah is keeping!!!! Here comes the drama lol
How Ashley accurately and expertly transfers emotions that real people have, the subtle nuances of real humans into these fictional characters is a true gift. Since Yaya jumped into Ethic's truck at the end of Prada Plan 4, Ethic has been a force. He's our black romantic superhero, who is so flawed and perfect at the same time. Thank you Ashley for creating the perfect man...if only on paper and in our dreams. Kudos!
