For several years I've used the original version of this book, Lead Like Jesus, in an introductory course in Christian leadership I teach at the community college level. Last year I learned of this new version. It's better.The book dives deeper into the essentials of leadership than the previous edition, guiding the reader through a goal-setting process and encouraging two sets of habits for more effective leadership. I am looking forward to using this book as the kickoff to my Introduction to Christian Leadership course beginning in August.
I love this book for so many reasons! I actually stayed in this New Years to read it but it has changed the way I view and address a lot situations. I do think that there is a lot to learn from this book about the way that Jesus lead, as well as Spiritual and emotional wellness, which Christians and those of all religious affiliations can all draw something from with an open mind. This was a truly eye-opening book, however I do add that my teachings from Elevation Church and Pastor Steven Furtick (of Elevation Church) provide an excellent foundation for this read in my opinion. I have been absolutely blessed by this book, continue to be blessed by this book, and am blessing others through this book.
This is an excellent book for a business leader or a Christian leader. It contains all the important elements of relational leadership which is the most effective way to influence or transform people in this postmodern world. The detail is commendable and there are loads of exercises and discussion points to make this an effective tool to implement in a work or church environment but also to use to teach others. I was really impressed! If you are interested in leadership, read this.
This book is a must read for those looking to lead not only in business, but in life in general. Take the time to read and study this book as I know it will truly make a difference in your life.
This book should be a "must read" for every leader. It's appropriate to understand how Jesus led the disciples and how he managed crisis. This enhances the way we look at things and problems.
This second addition is even better than the first. I have both of them, and use the information in a college class I teach.
Practical, encouraging and down right amazing. No matter your beliefs or religion, there's no doubting the effectiveness of Jesus' leadership model.
