Foxfire books have a lot of history written into them. I find that I am old enough to have known people who used many of the techniques in hunting, gardening, and crafts mentioned in these books. I have read some recent gardening and craft books that incorporate some of the same things or a modern version of thing mentioned in the Foxfire books. Interesting read from many point of view.
this is a great resource for off grid information based on how daily tasks were performed prior to modern technology.
Any time I can learn and get something from it then its well worth it the money!
I love the foxfire books, and I'm glad they gathered up the topical ones for us to buy! I will probably buy the other ones in this series.

Love all the Foxfire books. Old set got destroyed in a flood. Replaced them and bought the new editions. Wonderful history books and how-to series for the self-sufficient.
