Frank loved New Orleans as much as life and cooking. All you have to do is pick up any of his books and you feel it by the way he writes, the same way you do when you cook one of his recipies. Thanks buddy for leaving us so much of yourself with your books. Each one is different, but each one makes you smile a little, like he always did. Have fun cooking like Frank, I am sure he will be looking over your shoulder and guiding your hand stirring one of his great creations, but slap his hand if he reaches for your beer!

Excellent New Orleans creole recipes. We lost a lots when Frank Davis passed.

All of Frank's cookbooks are good and make good gifts for friends, birthday and shower gifts. A must have in your kitchen.

The book lacks sources for key recipe ingredients, like Frank Davis's meat seasonings, and does not describe how to make your own.

I'm a born and bred New Orleanian. I recently borrowed this book from someone and I think it's a great cookbook, so I am here on Amazon to buy my own copy. The one star reviewer obviously just has it out for Frank Davis, looks like the same reviewer panned Frank's other cookbook. Frank is a flamboyant celebrity...like him or not, but at least try his recipes before panning his book!
