I ordered the pamphlet/ book to help me find more information regarding my family ties to Scotland/Ireland. I thought it would provide more documentation about the `Clearances' that occurred between Scotland and Ireland during famine, wars and land grabs that displaced thousands of people. The names that are provided would be useful to those seeking possible family names of immigrants from Scotland and Ireland who came to this country during the 18th century. It would be useful if you already know of the ancestral family name(s)..
Very poor. Extremely limited in names of Scots who went to Ireland and no information about where they settled in Ireland. Sales hype for book leads buyers to believe otherwise.
This is just a listing of names of people who may have immigrated to America. No explanation no links nothing else.
Excellent book for those wanting to know more about their heritage!
This is a very thin book, but had a couple of listings that might be in my family tree. I would look forward to similar books that give more listings.
